My Little Guitar Shop was an effort created out of a need to maintain all the different guitars I own. It used to be that I would take my guitars to a shop like most, but in the last couple of years, it can take 6 weeks to 5 months to get into most repair shops or Luthiers in our area. I had been learning and applying some of the maintenance processes to my guitars over the years. Now I have decided to make the jump to repairing and maintaining my guitars 100% on my own.
I realize many more would like to take control of their maintenance and repair but are not sure they are up to the task. My goal is to journal my experience as I tackle repair and maintenance work I used to take to a local repair shop. Through this journey, I will review tools and recommend products and resources that help me accomplish each project’s goals.
